Access
There is level access to the shop and ground floor gallery displays with stairs/stairlift to the mezzanine gallery, plus stairs or lift access to the Local History Room.
The museum has a manual wheelchair for visitor use which we are happy to reserve for you. If you visit the museum with a carer, they enter the museum free of charge.

Museum Shop. The museum shop carries a superb selection of gifts, postcards, local history books and Norfolk memorabilia.
Eating Out. The museum does not have a cafe but you can find a good selection of cafes and pubs in Swaffham.
Other good places to go near by are the Church with its magnificent double hammer beam roof and carved Angels. Also the Ecotech Centre and it's wind turbine from which (weather dependent) may be seen Ely Cathedral. Within a short distance are Oxburgh Hall (NT) and Castle Acre with it's historic Castle and Priory. The Tourist Information Centre. The Tourist Information Centre is integral with the Museum Shop. A wide range of free information leaflets are available on where to stay and interesting things to do. The area covered is about 50 miles radius from Swaffham
