Schools can also use our “Museum-in a Box” artefacts loan service. These can be made up to coincide with a National Curriculum subject from KS1 and KS2 e.g. The Victorians, WWII etc and offer teachers the chance to show their pupils real objects from the period of history from which they are learning (there are some objects which even the teachers may not be able to recognise). Prices for the loan boxes are £10 each for two weeks.
Although we do not have a fixed date of when the museum is to open, we envisage that this will happen towards the 2nd quarter of 2006. However, the Education Officer can undertake outreach sessions from the Spring Term.
