In 2015 the museum acquired a 19th Century longcase clock made by John Carr and Son of Swaffham. It stands 7'5" high and has an eight day striking movement. The clock was restored in 2015. These photographs and videos show its restoration (photography by Clifford J Freeman of Castlegate Clocks, Grantham). You will find the clock in the Ben Emmerson Room.
A display of photographs showing the Women of Swaffham together with extracts from the Mary Ann Jefferies Victorian-diaries.
"Brilliant little museum with friendly knowledgeable staff. Exhibition on Howard Carter who discovered Tutankhamen's tomb was particularly interesting and enjoyable." Read more reviews
